1. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

• Contact information: Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or project address, city, state, and ZIP code.
• Business information: Your company name, job title or role, business contact details, service area, business type, and information you provide about your interest in installing, purchasing, distributing, or carrying Leaf Deflector products.
• Project, product, and support information: Product interests, project details, photographs or measurements you submit, purchase or installation information, warranty inquiries, and customer-service records.
• Communications: Form submissions, emails, correspondence, customer-service notes, voicemail, and call details. Recordings or transcripts may also be collected if recording or transcription is enabled and any required notice and consent have been provided.
• Website and device information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, links selected, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, and technical or security logs.
• Advertising and preference information: Advertising source, campaign or click identifiers, interactions with our advertisements and marketing emails, conversion events, product or business interests inferred from these interactions, consent records, and marketing or privacy preferences.

We obtain this information directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from providers supporting our website, communications, and advertising; and from contractors, distributors, or other people helping with a request you made. We may also receive information when you submit a lead form through an advertising or social-media platform.

Please do not include Social Security numbers, payment-card details, financial-account credentials, medical information, or other highly sensitive information in ordinary website forms or email. Our website is not designed to collect that information.

2. How we use information

We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

• Answer questions and respond to product, contractor, distributor, supply-house, and customer-service inquiries.
• Communicate about your request and help connect you with an appropriate representative, contractor, or distributor when you request that assistance.
• Manage business relationships, product support, and warranty matters.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect our website and forms.
• Understand website use, measure advertising results, and improve our content and services.
• Send relevant product or business updates and marketing communications, subject to applicable law and your choices.
• Maintain consent, privacy-request, unsubscribe, and do-not-call records.
• Detect misuse, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

Where we use advertising audience or conversion tools, we use information for the advertising and measurement purposes described below, subject to applicable notice, consent, and opt-out requirements.

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website and providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies to support website operation, security, forms, preferences, analytics, advertising attribution, conversion measurement, audience matching, and relevant advertising on other services.

Our website is hosted through Vercel, and we use HubSpot for forms and customer relationship management. Information submitted through a form is used to process your inquiry. Where tracking choices are offered, declining the tracking they cover does not prevent you from submitting an inquiry. Depending on the features enabled, our website and marketing activities may also use:

• Google Analytics and Google Ads for website measurement, advertising, and conversion attribution.
• Meta business tools for Facebook and Instagram advertising, advertising measurement, and audience features.
• CallRail for call tracking, advertising attribution, and related communications features.
• HubSpot tracking and email tools for contact management, website activity associated with inquiries, and business communications.

These providers may receive device identifiers, IP addresses, page addresses, website activity, advertising identifiers, or submitted contact information needed for the relevant service. When enabled, marketing-email measurement tools may report opens and link clicks; device privacy settings can affect the accuracy of those reports. When tracking is enabled, a provider may associate earlier website activity with your contact record after you submit a form. Advertising providers may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites or services.

When we use enhanced conversions, customer matching, or similar advertising tools, contact information such as an email address or telephone number may be converted into a coded value, often called a hash, before being sent to an advertising provider. Hashing does not necessarily make information anonymous. These tools remain subject to applicable privacy choices and restrictions.

Learn more about how Google uses information from websites and apps that use its services. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers and Analytics implementations. Google and Meta provide additional advertising preferences through their account settings. Those settings do not necessarily stop all collection or measurement.

Cookie and browser choices

You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies or other required browser functions may affect some features. Optional analytics and advertising tracking are on by default unless you turn them off or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Use Cookie Settings in the footer to turn this tracking off or on at any time. Turning it off refreshes the page to stop loaded tracking scripts; essential website features and inquiry forms remain available. A browser-specific choice may need to be repeated if you clear browser storage, change browsers, or use another device.

Some measurement technologies can send limited information, such as page addresses, device information, and measurement events, even when cookies are not used or cookie storage is declined. Blocking cookies does not necessarily stop all information collection. We do not treat a cookie-storage rejection as permission for processing that the relevant control says it will stop. Where applicable law or a provider's requirements call for consent, we obtain the required consent.

You can contact us using Section 7 to ask about tracking, request a change to preferences associated with your contact record, or request deletion. Stopping future tracking does not automatically delete information already collected.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Our website honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) by turning off the optional analytics and advertising tracking covered by Cookie Settings, even if you previously turned it on. The older browser "Do Not Track" signal does not automatically change these settings. Browser cookie settings and provider preferences also remain available. You may also contact us about your choices using Section 7.

4. When we disclose information

We disclose personal information as appropriate for the purposes described in this Policy:

• Providers working for us: Hosting, forms, customer relationship management, email, call tracking, analytics, security, IT support, and professional-service providers, including our marketing agency. They receive information needed for their work, subject to applicable contractual and legal restrictions.
• People assisting with your request: A representative, contractor, distributor, or supply house may receive the contact and project information needed to provide assistance you requested. An independent business is responsible for its own subsequent use of information and may provide its own privacy notice.
• Advertising and analytics partners: Providers may receive the information described in Section 3 for advertising, audience matching, analytics, and measurement, subject to applicable choices and restrictions.
• Legal and safety recipients: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate misuse, protect rights or safety, or establish or defend a legal claim.
• Business transfers: Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
• At your direction: We may disclose information to another person when you ask us to do so or provide consent.

We do not sell or rent customer lists or personal information for money. However, some state privacy laws define "sale" more broadly and treat certain disclosures to advertising platforms as "sharing" or "targeted advertising," even when no money changes hands. Advertising disclosures described in this Policy may fall within those definitions, depending on the tool, its settings, and the applicable law.

The browser and provider choices described in Section 3 may help you manage advertising tracking. You can contact us using Section 7 to ask about our disclosures or preferences associated with your contact record. We handle any legally required opt-out under the law that applies. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Calls, email, and text messages

Telephone calls and recordings

If you contact us by telephone, or request a call, we may collect call details such as your number, the time and duration of the call, and its advertising source. If recording or transcription is enabled, we give notice and obtain the consent required by applicable law, including all-party consent where required, before recording or transcribing the conversation. Recordings and transcripts may be used for customer service, quality assurance, training, and advertising attribution.

If you do not wish to participate in a recorded conversation, tell the representative or contact us by email. This Privacy Policy does not itself constitute consent to record a call.

Email and marketing calls

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. You can ask us to stop marketing calls by telling the caller or contacting us using the details below. We retain limited suppression information so we can honor these choices.

A marketing opt-out does not prevent lawful nonmarketing communications needed for a transaction, warranty, safety issue, or other service you requested. We will not use a service message to bypass your marketing opt-out. You can also ask us to turn off marketing-email engagement tracking associated with your contact record.

Text messages

We do not currently offer a recurring marketing text-message program. Providing a telephone number or submitting a website form does not enroll you in such a program or provide consent to automated marketing texts or artificial or prerecorded marketing calls.

If we introduce a text-message program, we will provide the applicable program disclosures and obtain any required consent before enrollment. Any mobile opt-in information or text-message consent records we collect will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Providers may process that information only as needed to support the program, honor your choices, or comply with law. This restriction takes priority over broader disclosure language elsewhere in this Policy.

6. How long we retain information

We retain personal information for the time reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy. We consider the type of information, the nature and length of our relationship, the reason it was collected, applicable warranty obligations, legal recordkeeping duties, security needs, and potential disputes.

Inquiry and business-contact records are retained as needed to respond and manage the relationship. Product and warranty records may need to be kept for the applicable warranty period and the time needed to administer claims. Call recordings, analytics information, and technical logs are retained according to their purpose and the relevant system settings. Limited consent, unsubscribe, and do-not-call records may be retained longer to document and respect your choices.

A long product warranty does not mean we keep all marketing, browsing, or call-recording information for that entire period. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or deidentify it in accordance with applicable law and our retention processes. Information in backups may remain until the backup is overwritten or deleted in the normal course, subject to continued protection and applicable deletion requirements.

7. Privacy questions and requests

You can contact us to ask about your information, request access or a correction, request deletion, or change your marketing preferences. Making a privacy request does not enroll you in marketing or require you to agree to website terms.

Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity or authority before disclosing, changing, or deleting records. Do not send government identification or other sensitive documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate process.

We review requests in light of our records, the nature of our relationship, and applicable law. Some information may need to be retained to provide a requested service, honor a warranty, maintain an opt-out, comply with law, or address a legal claim. We will explain if we cannot fulfill your request.

Where a law applies to Leaf Deflector and provides additional privacy rights or a required response period, we honor those requirements. California residents may also contact us about covered disclosures for third parties' own direct marketing under California's "Shine the Light" law, to the extent that law applies.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information. No website, email system, or method of storage is completely secure. If a security incident requires notification, we provide notice as required by applicable law.

9. Children's privacy

Our website is intended for adults and business representatives and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

10. Other websites and processing locations

Links to social media, contractor or distributor websites, and other third-party services lead to services with their own privacy practices. If you choose to load or interact with third-party content, such as an embedded video, that provider may receive information about the interaction and your device, subject to the applicable website controls. Review those services' notices when you use them. Our website choices do not change the independent settings of a social-media or advertising platform on which you submit a lead form.

Although our business serves the United States, service providers may process or store information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Serving only U.S. customers does not mean every provider stores information only in the United States.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. We will post the revised Policy here and update the dates above. For material changes, we will also provide a prominent website notice or direct notice where appropriate to the change and our relationship with you. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide that notice or obtain that consent before applying the change as required by law.
